Commodore Amiga 500. The Commodore Amiga 500 is one of the most influential home computers of the late 1980s. Introduced in 1987, it combined powerful graphics, sound, and multimedia capabilities in a compact home computer.

The Amiga featured a 16/32-bit Motorola 68000 processor and custom chips designed for graphics, animation, and multi-channel sound. This made the system technologically advanced for its time and especially popular for gaming, graphic design, music production, and video applications.

Programs and games were typically loaded using 3.5-inch floppy disks. Many famous titles of the late 1980s and early 1990s were first released for the Amiga platform.

The Amiga 500 became the most successful model of the Amiga series and influenced an entire generation of computer users. Today it is regarded as one of the most important multimedia home computers in computing history.
