Tetris. Tetris is one of the most famous and successful video games in history. The game was created in 1984 by Russian computer scientist Alexey Pajitnov at the Academy of Sciences in Moscow.

The gameplay is simple yet highly addictive: different geometric shapes called tetrominoes fall from the top of the screen and must be arranged to form complete horizontal lines. When a line is completed, it disappears and the player earns points.

As the game progresses, the speed of the falling blocks increases, making the game more challenging over time. Despite its simple graphics, Tetris became extremely engaging.

By the late 1980s the game spread worldwide and became especially popular through the Nintendo Game Boy, where it reached global success. Today Tetris is considered one of the most influential puzzle games in video game history.
