New in the Museum – Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. A very special vehicle has recently joined our collection: the legendary Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. This extraordinary car became world famous through the film of the same name released in 1968 and remains one of the most iconic fantasy vehicles in movie history.
The story of the film is based on the children’s book written by Ian Fleming, the creator of James Bond. In the story, the eccentric inventor Caractacus Potts transforms an old racing car into a magical vehicle that can drive, float on water, and even fly.
With its nostalgic design, polished brass details, and deployable wings, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is one of the most recognizable movie cars ever created.
Visitors can now experience this unique vehicle up close in our museum.
